Summary

  • The Process Excellence group optimizes processes, as needed, and instills a culture of continuous improvement throughout Capiter. The Manager role will foster a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of continuous improvement methodologies, implement the supporting framework, to deliver business transformation. Define, build and execute the strategy and mechanisms that support the continuous improvement enterprise-wide initiatives and programs. Lead the organization in adoption of new tools and practices that bring cross-functional teams together to understand, document and simplify processes across teams. Work closely with the team on programs and projects that enhance business processes, improve reliability, increase simplicity, and enable growth by using Agile, Lean, Six Sigma data-driven, problem-solving methodologies to deliver tangible business results.

Responsibilities

  • Generate analytic models to identify FC/DC  throughput and storage capacity risks. Highlight and appropriately escalate any risks while proposing potential solutions.

  • Leverage data-science techniques and recommend algorithmic solutions to business problems based on big data, data mining and statistical modelling.

  • Define, create and maintain long range strategic capacity management capabilities, processes and tools to support analysis and decision making and ensure supply continuity.

  • Design and facilitate a monthly capacity plan and develop/share strategic insights and shape recommendations with key stakeholders.

  • Influence leaders by providing accurate data analysis, interpretation, with well-founded insights.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Distribution Center operations, processes and material flow methodologies.

  • Problem solving and escalation management in a complex environment. Must be able to think both creatively and critically. Willing to take risks, challenge the status quo and work under ambiguous circumstances.

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex processes and present ideas in a clear and concise manner to Sr. Leadership as well as various levels of internal and external business partners.

  • Experience with DC technology (WMS, OMS, TMS, LMS)

  • Skilled at managing interpersonal relations to build rapport inside and outside the immediate project team, can motivate through leadership, and influence and align resources.

  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-up skills leading with a sense of urgency.

  • International mindset and flexible personality, fluency in English

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to deliver results.

  • Microsoft Office skills.

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree / Preferably CSCP Certified or Network design Degree

  • 7 or more years of combined experience in material handling, automation, manufacturing, supply chain, process improvement, and/or distribution and logistics industries

  • Demonstrated ability to own projects, think big and influence across all levels of an organization.

  • Strong attention to detail, ability to produce high quality and accurate work products.

  • Must be able to operate with sound reasoning and judgement coupled with a high level of resourcefulness.

  • Ability to demonstrate structured thinking to solve problems and conduct root cause analysis.

  • Experienced in working with data to analyze root causes, implementing long term solutions and improve operational outcomes.

  • Strong foundation of mathematical/analytical principles.
