About the job

The role is responsible for leading the product vision and implementation of end to end digital ecosystem for B2B Marketplace at Capiter. We are building technology products and services to help our Brand Partners and Wholesale Partners manage the complexities of B2B lead generation, logistics and sales management and reach out to the US $50B market comprising of more than 400K merchants across Egypt.

This Product Manager will be responsible for owning the design, budget, resourcing, coordination, and build of the products required to support deemed brand & wholesale partners across Capiter B2B Marketplace systems. This is a unique opportunity to learn multiple tech stacks and manage a product that has multi-billion dollar impact.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding the business requirements, own up data and research based insights into feature development and evangelize and track key business and product metrics for their product verticals in the B2B Marketplace system.

Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibility of the role)

  • You will ideate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements based on data & evidence driven methodologies.

  • You will work closely with Business & Product leadership to define the product vision, product strategy and product roadmap for multiple business functions within Capiter’s B2B Marketplace

  • You will build & lead a team of product analysts & product managers, mentoring them and building the next gen business system to manage retailers, wholesalers and brands

  • You have to define and own the business metrics in collaboration with business teams. Work with stakeholders and prioritize problems.

  • You will work very closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including and not limited to business development teams, operations team, software developers, embedded engineers, design engineers, data scientists and business analysts.

  • You will - at any point in time - be juggling on multiple projects within the workstream at different stages of product development.

  • You will own weekly and monthly reporting on the state of the initiatives for your product and utilize metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns

  • You will drive adoption & growth of rolled out solutions, assess open opportunities to further enhance merchant and supplier experience and remove friction points.

  • You will measure improvements and impact of changes and set-up mechanisms to audit impact and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives.

  • High degree of product ownership and collaborate effectively with remote teams in multiple time zones

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in an analytically-heavy discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Finance or Mathematics (or work experience to that effect)

  • 4+ years of prior product management experience in an internet based company , preferably in B2B /B2C E-commerce

Preferred Qualifications ( not mandatory) :

  • MBA degree from Premier institute / Prior start up experience will be preferred

  • Prior B2B marketplace Product management experience will be preferred

  • Prior entrepreneurial experience with track record for delivering results in fast-moving and demanding environments
